AKSMOPP is EXPANDING

In a landmark moment for Pastor Umoh Eno led administration (AKS), on the 15th of August 2025, two additional oxygen plants- at General Hospital Ukpom Abak and Immanuel Hospital Eket- were commissioned by the Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr John Emmanuel Ekem.

These brand-new Pressure Swing Adsorption Medical Oxygen plants (PSA) adds to the already existing and functional 120 cylinders per day plant at General Hospital, Ituk Mbang. Bringing the daily medical grade oxygen producing capacity of the Akwa Ibom State Medical Oxygen Production Company (AKSMOPP) to 240 cylinders per day.
Against the backdrop of increased availability of medical grade oxygen. This new additions will no doubt boost the already existing achievements of AKSMOPP, while ensuring the equitable distribution of the plants to the 3 senatorial districts of the state.
We the team at AKSMOPP are confident and optimistic going forward that the strategic goals of an oxygen secure Akwa Ibom State is a reality.
